i can use to substitute that so i don’t have to go to the store? Its only a teaspoon what happens if i don’t use it? I’m not the best cook.

It’s an important teaspoon..it helps your banana bread rise. Without it, you may have more of a banana brick than a loaf.
There really is no substitute, so it looks like your taking a trip to the market..sorry

Turns out you can substitute baking soda for baking powder…just use 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda, with 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar.
You cannot, however, subsitute anything for baking soda.

baking soda and baking powder r essential indredients when baking…like if u dont use them, things go very flat..so u will not have very fluffy bread, but the good flavor will still be there! like if u made chocolate cake with no baking soda.powder, then u would have good brownies since it didnt rise..lol
