I’m going to be graduating high school this year and i’m planning on attending community college in the fall. Before i register for classes, i want to know which credits i need in order to transfer for NYU Tisch’s acting program. I plan to transfer out of community college in two years. Anyone know which classes or credits i would need to get into Tisch in two years? I want to have a plan before i start classes at my community college.

You should contact NYU Tisch to see what they require of transfer students. I do know that 50% of your admission is your audition and 50% your academics. The Drama department is very competitive and it is harder to get in as a transfer student then as a freshman. I would assume some of the core classes but obviously not the Drama. I don’t think they would accept that from another school, but you should ask anyway. Tisch Drama is made up of several different studios that have very different ways of teaching drama. Stella Adler and Meiszner are just 2 examples. They all have different class requirements.
