How can I send a money order from the U.S to England in British Pounds?

When we were overseas my husband became I’ll and we had to push our return trip back and use our travel insurance. Now, the travel insurance wants a doctors note from the doctor we saw in England before they will reimburse us. We found the doctor and he will write a note but only if we send him 16 British pounds. He will not take credit card, personal check, cash or wired money. He requires a money order or something similar that is in British pounds… Not US dollars. Help! 16 pounds is all that stands between me and several thousand dollars being reimbursed!

    Go to an HSBC bank and obtain your money order.

    Call the doctor and see if he will take a visa gift card with a value of $50.00 american. That is more than double sixteen pounds and a small price to pay for several thousands in medical reimbursement. If that won’t work call the u.s. consulate in england and see if they can help you get an english money order to him .

    Buy demand draft on London in the name of Doctor for 16 pounds from a Bank. They will collect equivalent amount in dollars and issue a demand draft on London. Send the DD to the Doctor.
