Just go. You are many times more likely to die putting your pants on or driving to the airport than in some attack on a plane.

i think u should go instead of waiting. i mean its the chance of a life time. nd ur going wit ur class.

haha, no chance- the odds are less a million to one. Even if an American plane was attacked, thing how many tens if thousands of American flights there are every day.

And to be honest, if Gaddafi’s planning a plane hijacking at the moment then he’s probably got his priorities completely off given that he’s fighting for his life in Libya.

You’ll be fine :) The only people that Gaddafi is hurting at the moment is Libyans.

I just got back from Greece and everything was very safe and secure. The airports took security very seriously and I never felt that flying was dangerous. Have your Dad check with the school to make sure they are aware of what’s going on and what they intend to do if something weird does happen. And check to see if you are flying directly in and out of Spain. I flew into Amsterdam and then into Athens. This might be the case with your flight, too. While in Greece I met several other school tour groups from America, Canada and Germany – everyone seemed be doing fine.

You can also check with the travel.state.gov website under Spain to read the US government’s warnings about travel there. Learn where the closest US embassy is to where you are staying. Watch the news closely to see if anything changes.

You shouldn’t let an opportunity like this pass you by, but you shouldn’t do anything that will make you feel unsafe either. Good luck and I wish you the best!

Check the warnings on the US State Department website.
