What is the investigative process for insurance fraud?
what is the process for invesitagting insurance fraud? if an insurance investigator comes to see you what is the next step in that process? How long does it take to find out if they are filing charges, what I was asking is how does it start and how do they gather information? I live in NC and the company is headquarter in GA. I just was wondering what happens after the SIU investigator shows up to get a recorded statement, does it take a long time to get it together or if they travel over state lines to get a statement does that mean they are filing that day or what?

Your question is impossible to give an exact answer, an investigation can last months or even years, and and initial statement from you may only be the start of it. The type of fraud would have helped and whether there is forensic/chemical testing that must be included for the charges to be filed.
