Speeding ticket in Georgia going 17 Over?

I live in Cherokee County, Georgia and received a speeding ticket in Adel, Georgia on my way back from Miami…(Great welcome back!). Adel is over four hours away from my home so I obviously want to avoid traveling there again! The ticket is for going 17 over on the interstate (87 in a 70), traffic was normal, weather was favorable, and I was very pleasant throughout the office issuing me the citation. I am wanting to find out what the “punishment” would be for not fighting this ticket and just paying the 3 fine. I have never had a traffic citation before, no accidents, …nothing! I am 21, had my license since I was 16, I am a good driver…for the most part. The officer who pulled me over was the not the officer who clocked me. I contacted a lawyers office in Adel, Georgia and said this is common practice. Like I said though, I want to avoid any drastic things from happening such as a higher insurance premium. Any help on the matter will be greatly, greatly appreciated.
