Browse: Home / Travel Insurance Low / I have a small painful bump on the lower right side of my head, about an inch away from my ear.?
By admin on October 10, 2011
it’s very tender and feels as though each time i touch it or apply pressure, the tenderness is traveling upward. If i push on it, it doesn’t necessarily feel painful on the bump, however, it feels painful on the area immediatly upward from it. my ear doesn’t hurt either. I just woke up like this and I don’t think I bumped my head on anything. no insurance of course, so i’d like to know the most reasonable explanation.left side is normal as can be, thanks

how long has it been there? It could be simple like an infected hair follicle for example or it could be more serious. If it gets worse or it’s been there a long time already you need to see a doctor. good luck
Could be absolutely nothing more than a swollen gland.. I would not panic at this point.. But I would keep an eye on it, and if it gets bigger or more painful seek out Medical attention.
Good Luck
Many reasons
Regular Trauma ( take analgesic drug to execlude this reason)
Lower wisdome tooth ( Panoramic x-ray will execlude that )
Caries ( let someone see it )
Pericoronitis / gum acute infection ( push on the gum on that area you will see gum bleeding)
You can start today by taking Analgesic drugs ( ex. Iboprofen 400 mg ) and see it may go away
ive had something simalar. is it under the chin? if you have a cold, it is probably a swolen neck gland.
It could be a cyst or calcium build up in your skin.
