Yes, I know Obama’s Aunt has been quoted as saying he is a “child of Kenya.” Obviously she was speaking metaphorically, as when I say “I am a child of Ireland” even though I’ve never set foot in the country.
I’m talking about real, hard evidence:
1. Why are there no photographs of Ann Dunham from when she was in Kenya?
2. Why are there no copies of passports showing that she or young Barack traveled to/from Kenya?
3. Why is there no Kenyan birth certificate? (Kenya was a British colony at the time, and the British were sticklers for such documents).
4. Why are there no other birth records from Kenya showing that Obama was born there? Why are there no newspaper reports?
5. Why are there no records of the thousands of dollars Ann Dunham would have had to spend to get to Kenya in the first place? Where would she have gotten the money?
6. Why are there no letters written by Ann Dunham in which she mentions that her son was born in Kenya?
7. Why wouldn’t there be insurance records showing an insurance payment to a hospital or health care provider somehwere in Kenya?
8. At that time (as now), a person traveling to Kenya would have needed a Visa. You have to apply for a Visa. Where are the copies of Ann Dunham’s Visa applications?
9. Where are the copies of Barack Obama’s Visa applications for his return to the United States?
10. To get a Visa to travel to Africa, you have to get a number of shots and other medical treatments. Where are the records of Ann Dunham’s medical preparation for travel to Kenya?
11. Why are there no documents from Obama’s father showing that his son was born in Kenya? Wouldn’t he have mentioned that to someone at least once?
Maybe you can explain one or two of these items. How can you explain them all without resorting to a massive conspiracy theory that would have had to start more than 40 years ago, when no one had any idea Barack Obama would become President?
Why hasn’t even ONE of the pieces of evidence mentioned above EVER surfaced? Not even one–why?

Why is Obama spending millions not to turn over his birth certificate, a document most of us have to turn over regularly?
That is what caught my attention.
Until this became a really expensive legal proposition, I ignored it. But McCain, Romney’s Dad and Goldwater all turned over their birth certificates when challenged, as the easiest way to put the issue behind them. Why is Obama handling this differently?

Facts and evidence have never been the issue. Desperately grasping for a way to trash Obama is the issue. If it were a matter of facts then the authenticated Hawaiian birth certificate and two birth announcements in Hawaiian newspapers would have settled this two and one half years ago.

I recently discovered that there’s a tiny village in eastern Poland with almost the exact same spelling as my family’s name. This is the first piece of surviving documentary evidence that my father’s family came from that country. And that’s STILL more evidence than the right-wingers have of Obama’s being born in Kenya.
They’d have better luck suggesting that he was “born in Kenya” because the entire human race was. (The earliest remains of what are now considered “human beings” have been found in Kenya and neighboring Tanzania.)

Well there is one thing that the accusers frequently forget, wasn’t Barrack Obama’s mothers American, that sort of helps a bit on nationality. No one tends to mention that John McCain was born in Panama. Yet another of FOX’s scoops which has very little evidence. First of all, I have no opinion on whether Obama was born in the US or not. The story is that his mother was living in Kenya and was refused passage on the airplane to come back to the US to give birth because she was so close to her delivery date. Obama’s grandmother in Kenya says she was present when Obama was born in Kenya.
The story is further enhanced by the fact that HA was only a state for about 2 years at the time. They allowed people to get HA birth certificates after the birth even if the birth took place somewhere else if one of the parents was a citizen and over 18. I have no idea why there would be such a law, but who knows.
There is also the question of Obama having dual citizenship in Indonesia because of his alleged adoption by his step father and the fact that only citizens of Indonesia could attend school. He had to have had an Indonesian passport to visit Pakistan in the 80′s. US citizens were not allowed in the country at the time. He also would have had to reclaim his US citizenship when he came back to the states at the age of 10 or before he turned 18.
Its very complicated and the judicial system will not permit the case to be heard. That may be why some military people are pushing the issue to force a judicial hearing and force him to produce his long form BC.
And why is there no security camera footage showing a pregnant Ann Dunham walking through the airport in Kenya?

Why are there no satellite camera images showing Ann Dunham entering or exiting any hospital in Kenya?

Yes, you have many valid points. Obviously there is a huge conspiracy going on to discredit Obama just because he didn’t produce a valid Birth Certificate as required by law. And his grandparents all swore they were present in Kenya at his birth … well obviously they’re lying because they hate him. And the Birth Certificate at the hospital in Kenya where he was born? Fake, I’m sure. Much more believable is that certificate of live birth Obama had drawn up in Hawaii, even though anyone can get one of those for any live person who was obviously born live, right? You betcha.
Come on, you’re asking to see photographs, insurance papers, visas copies of visa applications, and documents showing he was born in Kenya … we’re asking to see his Birth Certificate, the one single legal document that shows where he was born: Kenya or Hawaii. Where is the Birth Certificate? All that other crap means nothing against the Birth Certificate. Why does he not produce it? You can swirl & spin & twist & gyrate all you want, but nothing of what you say matters so long as he refuses to produce the legal Birth Certificate.

Most of your argument doesn’t hold water. Obama himself will admit his mother did travel to Kenya to visit his paternal family.
A couple of points:
1) Sarah Obama, Barack Obama’s paternal does not refer to Obama in a metaphoric way, she has admitted to BEING PRESENT AT HIS BIRTH.
2) An infant child does not possess his/her own passport; they travel under their mother’s (as did I when I was a child).
