Hi I recently sent in my petition to have the Marriage restrictions removed from my GC & have received a letter asking my wife & I to go for an interview.
Is this evidence that they have suspicions of the legitimacy of our marriage?
We submitted details of our joint bank account (for the last year only my wife uses this as we had some issues sharing finances & I wanted my own account, but I’m still named as a joint owner), 2 joint credit cards (I use these rarely because I’m not a fan of using credit cards). Details of our joint car insurance. car ownership, medical/dental insurance.
We live with my wife’s parents so have no joint lease or joint bills in that regard.
During the interview we can bring photos of all of our travels, our marriage & all of our trips.
Do you think this is sufficient evidence? If not what else should we bring with us?
Thanks!
If your marriage is legitimate, you wouldn’t be worried.
There are a percentage of cases that are pulled for interview just for quality control purposes. If you’re a totally legit couple that get called for an interview, it doesn’t necessarily mean that there is any doubt about you/your relationship. You could just be in that lucky 10 or so percent.
show lots of co mingling of finances … add your will if you have one
bore them with photographs of any trip you have taken together
do NOT take personal DVDs it frightens them … and yes!! people have
