im starting this new life from scratch and i need advice.?

so heres my story,im 21 years old i moved away when i was 18 years old to sell security systems door to door, i met a nice girl last year on a company trip and decided to stay, i am new to this state and have no friends or family here, my parents passed when i was 17 and ive been on my own ever sence, so this is what i have to call “roots”. its a bit weird being in a state all alone and trying to make something from scratch, i bought a car and rented a house, i live by myself and we plan to buy a home and move in together when shes done with nursing school. the only thing is she wants me to stay and find a job that i dont have to travel out of state because my job wont let me stay in the state i live in, it comes with the title. i make on average 23k a summer from may-augest but it has no benifits, no health insurance etc, im not very happy with what i do and i sometimes think of joining the army because i have no retirement with what i do and i cant sell alarms forever, also if her and i breakup i have no “roots” to go back too and its a bit scary. i dont want to join because i will be away more then i want too, im great at sales but i dont know what i can sell that would give me benifits and a commission and not door to door…..what to do?

    The insurance industry is a good profession that does not require a college education. If you work for a good company, they will pay for licensing and help you get started. Most companies offer benefits. You can be home every night. In fact, some agents are selling insurance online. The retirement options are pretty good too because of residual income. Do some research.

    You have your whole life ahead of you. Be sure that you make wise decisions about your future now before you buy a home and commit to a relationship and / or marriage.

    You’re 21 with your life still ahead of you. Many young men your age are at a stand still and not knowing which direction to take with their lives. It is a frightening position to be in the best of circumstances. You don’t have any familial support but that doesn’t mean you still can’t be a success at whatever you try to do.

    You’re idea of joining the military is a terrific one. You could plan to do the minimum service contract and receive training and experience that will last you a life time. This will also make you feel grounded and a part of something bigger than yourself while providing stability and a future for yourself. You will still be young when you complete your tour. Who knows you may decide that you want to make the military a lifetime career. You won’t know unless you try. You have everything to gain.
    You’re right.You can’t sell alarms forever. Call a recruiter and research the possibilities. Any woman who truly loves you will want you to be the best that you can be and to do what makes you happiest.
