Canceling a trip made through Hotwire?
I want to cancel a trip I made through Hotwire. I bought the insurance but I was reading it and it was saying I have to be either terminally ill, seriously injured, called for jury duty, laid off, etc. to cancel my hotel. All of which do not apply to me, I just have personal family issues and it wouldn’t be smart for me to travel right now. Hotwire travel insurance?
My mother and father-in-law, and brother and sister-in-law are supposed to fly down here at the end of the month. The tickets were purchased through Hotwire the end of last month. We recently just found out about insurance that you can purchase and did so Monday. My father-in-law has been in the hospital for 1 1/2 weeks – however, we just found out today that he will not be able to fly. We also purchased the trip protection for their hotel.
