Question concerning ttc without letting husband know?
My husband and I have been married for over two years and have been together for five. We love each other and have a stable relationship. He has a very good job and we have plenty of money in savings and live comfortably in a very nice town home. We have discussed the possibility of trying for a baby many times. I’m 27 going on 28 and there is a heavy history of Toxemia and Preeclampsia in my family so I would like to start trying as soon as possible. Especially since I have been on the pill for Read more [...]
stopping giving my child vaccinations?
I currently have a 19 month old son who has been up to date with all his vaccinations. I am expecting a baby girl come November. My family is much against vaccinations but my boyfriends family is pro vaccines, I’ve always been on the fence about it. I’m starting to reconsider and think we may all be better off without them. I’ve tried to look up the answers online but am not seeming to find what I’m looking for. I’m hoping to get them from people who have went through some of this. First of all I’m Read more [...]
Does your parents expect you to pay back every single cent they invested on you?
My parents like to brought up the things that I “owe” them. My dad got angry when I told him off for his bad habit of not paying the bills on time. He said I was ungrateful and calculative. Then he brought up all the things that he spent on me which includes the groceries that he bought for the meal I offer to cook for the family. His words really make me feel like i am a bad child. Especially after he roped in my mother to tell me off as being rude and disrespectful. Who wouldn’t be when you Read more [...]
Do you think I could get full custody of my child?
I have a five year old son and his father hasn’t been in his life in three years. He does pay child support, but he never follows the family court order and I took him to family court, so he wouldn’t miss out on my son, but I know I can’t force a man to be a father. He would miss Holidays, special occasions, ect. and my son would get upset. When he used to pick him up he would be an hour in a half late and a half, making me late for work, and an hour early to drop him off. I would send him e-mails Read more [...]
What to Do? Very Complicated!?
My fiance and I are at a loss. His son (different mother, who doesn’t pay support, doesn’t see the child) lives with his grandmother. The boy’s been in the grands home since 18 months (with dad living there too until 3 years ago), but the grands told him when he moved in with me 3 years ago, to take his stuff but not his son. My fiance reluctantly did it and has been seeing his boy on the weekends (and he travels 45 minutes each way to do so.) Now there’s a problem with his son’s medical insurance Read more [...]

Why did she give up the kids?
As a parent I find it difficult to understand how the mother gave up custody of our two kids. First, the forensic report tilted towards my favor, but still she could have fought it. She wanted to leave the house and live with her new beau and I gave her K. During that court hearing I mentioned my suspicions that the two of them should undergo a drug test. On the next hearing, she signed the custody papers right away even though I had changed the stipulations a lot towards my favor. She sees the Read more [...]
What would you do with $20,000?
Figuring this: I don’t value material stuff; my only debt is hundreds of thousands in student loans; I am a single mom of a child on SSI, I will get the money about 6 months before he turns 18, and until he turns 18, the rule is I have to spend it in 30 days or it will screw up his SSI because I can’t have over 2000 in savings; I could put it in my mortgage, save a little over 00 on mortgage insurance payments and pay off in 2031 instead of 2033; I could travel (would like to); I could use it to Read more [...]
Issues with child support order and father not obeying?
My sister and her ex-husband have been divorced for 3 years. The court order stated that they would share physical custody of their 3 children. In lieu of child support (her ex-husband makes twice her income) he would pay ,000 a yr in expenses for travel ball for her two boys. His argument to the court was that they were certain to gain schlorships, etc. and the travel baseball was an investment in their future. My sister was completely against this bc she needed actual MONEY to help support them Read more [...]
physical custody/joint custody****part 2?
Well we have been divorced for 5 yrs and things have been smooth because of me keeping my mouth shut for the kids sake. He didnt pay child support for 3 yrs, didnt carry medical insurance per the divorce decree, but i didnt push it cuz he was bipolar and a little wacky at the time, so when he did get help i put those things behind me and went on. but now his new wife of 3 yrs asked me to pick up and drop off the kids 3 wks ago cuz they couldnt and i did so with the agreement the next time she would Read more [...]
