I have a very agonizing pain in my left rib cage that sends referred pains all the way around to my left shoulder, and is now starting to even cause pain in my middle-upper back. Sometimes the pain goes to the center of my chest, and sometimes travels to my right rib cage.
I thought it was heartburn at first, I’ve been taking Zantac 150 with no relief and sometimes I feel if I could just burp I would feel better, but the more I unsuccessfully try the more it hurts.
The pain is actually waking me up at night and it seems there is no relieving it.
I went to the GP the other day and had 170/120 blood pressure, then 150/110 then 140/95…he was concerned enough to put me on Atenolol 25 mg because he said my “sitting heart rate” was abnormally high. But this hasn’t helped my pains.
I keep thinking it’s more digestive than cardiovascular but my recent blood pressure issues have me a bit concerned, nonetheless.
I don’t know if this is related but just this week my low back has begun to hurt excruciatingly..It’s right in the center and it’s very hard to bend and get up and down (sitting or lying). I’ve also realized it’s hurting even when I’m sitting or walking. It’s like a “bolt” is missing and makes it hard for me to bend or twist as far as I need to, that if I do something might snap.
In regards to my chest pain, which actually makes me forget the lower back pain, it often feels like a bra makes things worse and more sore.
I obviously have considered digestive issues, heart issues, and now bone and/or spinal cord issues. I know these symptoms could point to so many problems. I have no insurance, and even though I was basically dismissed by the GP when I went (my husband was not happy he didn’t send for further testing in light of my blood pressure and symptoms), it is not practical to keep going back to doctors and roll the dice that I’m consulting the right specialist.
Even if I knew the most common or probable cause(s) of these symptoms I may know where to start.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance guys!
There’s no need to worry about being perfect anymore. It turns out that no one is at www.perfectlynot.com
of course a disk in your back or neck is causing pain.dried out or damaged.
the other is more worrisome, get to the hospital.my sister is here said heart problems possibly.
pain in the left arm, shoulder etc, high blood pressure.unless somehow you injured a rib,
either way,it is always better,i hate hospitals, but really you are young .go get it checked, have your husband take you.there is no reason to suffer needlessly.good luck
