Is 1050 OMR good salary in year 2011?

Hi, I am single 29yr guy.
I have been offered a salary in IT Sales in OMAN i.e. 1050 OMR + Accomodation + Car + Patrol + Food Expenses. Is this a good salary in OMAN?

My current salary in India is around 5 lakh per annum and almost same are the expenses.

Will I be able to save money out of 1050 there?
I’ve never travelled in public transport in my life. How easy it is to buy a good car for me there like a honda city or toyota corola? What about driving license? Is it easy to obtain driving license? Mechanical & insurance expenses?

What about the racism in this country? Is it a safe place for an Indian?

What are the future prospects in IT sales? What is the average salary of Sales Head / Country Head – Sales in OMAN?

Price of Patrol 1 litre?
Price of a non-veg meal (standard 2 roti, 2 non-veg greavy items, salad, sweet)?
Price of a mcDonald’s chicken burger like items? (for expense analysing comparision)
Liquir availability and legal issues with drinking etc. ? Is drinking allowed legally there?
MOST IMPORTANT: availability of Apple iPhone in OMAN as i can’t live without my iPhone???
Availability of driver, cleaner, laundry services and price?

And future aspects of Study and fee for an international student for advanced management courses in oman uni?

There are these kind of issues which are not letting me decide anything about it.
