okay,in december of 2008 i was pulled over for my brake lights being out.the officer took my drivers license to his car and came back and told me it had been suspended for not carrying insurance for a couple of months (when my previous car was totaled!)i honestly had no idea but he gave me a citation to come to court in robertson county, tennessee in january of 2009.so in december 08 i moved to cocke county tn,and that first week of january my car threw a rod and i wasnt able to repair it until march and had absolutely no way of getting to court.i tried to call the court clerk and explain but she said that there would be a failure to appear warrant put out for me no matter what.so..a couple of weeks ago i had some dental work done and the check i gave bounced because my forgetful fiance forgot to tell me about writing a check for groceries and the dentists office had the police come to my place of work and confront me and even though i have since paid the dentists office in full-i have to go to court here in cocke county in a couple days.my question is-how likely is it that robertson county will travel 300 miles up here to get me?i am very aware that i need to get my warrant in robertson county taken care of-the only reason i havent is all about money.i do work 40 hrs a week and am going to school part-time but im the only one in my household working and i just cant seem to make enough money.if they come arrest me i will lose my job and everything will crumble im so worried please help!!!
thanks to the loser douchebags who have so much time on their hands that they feel the need to bash people on here.if you cant help then dont waste my time!
please help you what ??? you made the mess, now get yourself out of it. it’s called responsibility.
I’m not trying to be rude, but you have an excuse for everything. You couldn’t find someone to take you to go to court? You could have just paid the ticket via mail right away, instead of waiting. You could have even paid it in installments if you had just taken care of it immediately. I got a ticket in central TN a few years ago and live on the Gulf Coast. I took care of everything by mail. Your best bet is to call the courthouse and ask them what you need to do, ASAP.
It is extremely unlikely that you will be arrested on the warrant when you show up in another county court. Especially a warrant for a traffic infraction
The system does not usually work that way. They do not pay anyone to monitor warrants very closely. Police will check for warrants, but a court will not check for warrants in other jurisdictions.
