Can I drive out of state with temporary plates on my car. I just bought a used car that only has the rear temporary plate and I need to travel from Illinois through Indiana, Tennesse, Kentucky and alabama. I have only had the car three weeks but the car is properly registered and I do have insurance. Is it legal I don’t want to break the law or get tickets.

You should be fine. Bring along proof of all you say you have, just in case. Also, make sure your temp tag doesn’t expire before you get back.
Absolutely. It’s perfectly legal, and done every day. Just get back home before your temporary tags expires, and keep relevant paperwork with you.
Yes, you are perfectly legal until your temporary tag expires, then you are not. At three weeks you are pushing it a bit if it’s a 30 day temporary. Can you do all that traveling in a week?
Yes, temporary plates are the same as real plates in every state.
No problem.
