Hi there, like in the question, I’m 17 years-old, male and was born and raised in Britain. After saving up for over a year, I finally have all the money I need for this trip. My passport should be coming in a couple of weeks, I’ll then be buying travel insurance and an ESTA.
Other than the things I’ve listed and a plane ticket, is there anything else I need to get from the UK to California? And any other hints or tips?
(When I get there I’ll be getting a ride from a pen-friend and going to their house a couple of hours away.)

@ travelmaster; Thanks for the notarized letter info, and I’ve known them for three years from a friend, and even though my friend is across the world, they’re my closest friend.
if you are bringing anything that needs to be plugged in make sure to get a converter.
you might need a notarized letter from your parents also how well do you know this “FRIEND”
he could be a child molester! and why would you go to a stranger’s house in the first place
