Hopeing to travel to Germany for 8 weeks. Would i need to apply to some health insurance aside from the health insurance provided from my university through blue cross? the program has a link for me to apply to some monthly plan if it is not. wanna make sure i have to get it or not (somethign different in germany)

While I don’t have BC/BS, I do know that I had to get health insurance for my 3 months in Germany. Your university may cover your health insurance, not sure. If they don’t there are some relatively inexpensive packages for short term time abroad. It’s about $100-200 for 3 months which would cover most major surgeries and other major problems. Sprained ankles and other minor injuries are out of pocket.
