Can you tell me what it is? Are they speeding, tailgating, running red lights? What is it?
On another note, it’s annoying when people run past you on the left because you’re driving speed limit in a residential area. Also, it’s annoying when people start speeding up to block you when you want to change lanes.
I find that in the Los Angeles County, most people are rude drivers. You are expected to blaze past the speed limit. It seems that everyone is so selfish on the roads. I haven’t traveled anywhere else but this is the case in LA county. Everyone is so into themselves, like “I have to get to work” or “I have to get to this place” so they won’t yield or show some common courtesy. You know, you’re not the only one!! Other people have work, and/or school too!
My family is Asian and we have the good driver discount for driving insurance. Just saying! =P
And don’t forget, good student discount! LOL
The car consumes more gas if you go over speed limit!!

usually it’s just the older generation of Asians that don’t drive well. They always cut me off on the road, but nothing is wrong with the older ones

Everyone is a bad driver at some point. Everybody tries to act like they’re so perfect on the road.
I don’t think Asians in the US are bad drivers or most of Asia are, but I’ve been to china and seen people doing crazy things, crashing and not being able to parallel park even with 50 feet to do it. (really) Maybe just newly immigrated Asians? I think the only traffic law in china is to honk your horn at everything-ambulances, women with parambulators, POLICE CARS!

It’s like trying to pick out some bones out of an egg. I mean since we East Asians are astoundingly close to utter perfection. So the haters HAVE to find something wrong with us. Even if it means making up lies.

We can start by not generalizing the whole Asians into a single word “Asians”. We are not the same race. Latinos are Latinos and Celtics and Celtics. Since when have we started giving attributes to skin color instead of ethnicity. Altaic, Sino-Chinese, Indonesian, Pacific Islander, Malay, etc., all different.

I live in China and they are exceptionally bad drivers by American standards. I don’t think Asians as a race are not inherently bad drivers, rather, immigrants who are used to driving by the laws (such as they are) in their countries of origin put tend to put themselves and others in danger. Cross walks mean nothing here as cars will actually speed up (forget about them stopping or even slowing down) when you’re trying to cross the street. The largest vehicle always has the right of way, people turn and then look instead of looking before they turn, they don’t give the right of way ever, just try to force their way into the next lane and they’re constantly passing people and driving in the wrong lane (i.e. the lane you’re driving in is for traffic moving in the other direction). I see people driving the wrong way down one way streets every day because they can’t be bothered driving all the way around the block. It’s ridiculous, really.
I’m not really sure…. but I don’t believe it’s true anyways.
