My brother-in-law has a lot of frequent flyer miles. We will be traveling to Costa Rica in a few months for our daughters’ stem cell treatments and he said we could use his ffm. He told us he could transfer them to our card. He just told us that he found out that in order to do that would cost a lot of money. Could he buy our plane tickets himself using his air miles? We were counting on this as the treatments, etc. are not covered by insurance and the air miles would have helped us a lot. If someone knows anything about this please, please tell me what to do. We will be using Houston Intercontinental Airport. I greatly appreciate any help anyone can give me. Thank you, Patti

Your brother-in-law can absolutely get a ticket for you with his frequent flyer miles. The best way is for him to get the tickets in you and your families’ name through his air miles program. Transferring the miles can be very costly.
Just have him call his airline’s frequent flyer program, some programs allow him to do it online. I’ve gotten tickets for friends and family using my air miles, it’s not a problem. Just don’t transfer them, get them through his program, not yours.
Yes my sister buys my mom air ticket using her miles with no problem.
If the airline has seats for you…..travel to CR……..books out frequent flyer miles 11 months in advance……..I doubt if you will find availability……….hurry………
